New Feature of YouTube Videos Different than Ever

Google and its video-streaming aid YouTube may know you better than you know yourself. YouTube does create suggestions based on your previous viewing history, so the videos it proposes are usually similar to the ones you’ve already seen. YouTube, on the other hand, is starting up a new feature dubbed “New to You” in an effort to make you a better-rounded video presenter.

“New to you” may be found in the top carousel below the app bar on the mobile YouTube app. You’ll find out it after the “All” chip, and its rainbow-colored outline will make it easy to see. Google stated earlier this month that it has received complaints from consumers who complained: “their home feeds felt a little bit stale.”

Google proclaimed at the beginning of July that the new functionality would be available throughout the month. According to the corporation, the new function allows users to go “beyond their regular recommendations.” On the Android version of the YouTube app, some Android users in the United States, the United Kingdom, and France have received the feature.

If YouTube has recommendations for you that aren’t the same as the videos you usually watch, the “New to You” chip will turn rainbow-colored. If there are no outside-the-box recommendations for you, the chip will be at the very end of the carousel, without the rainbow colors.
